Paladin’s Grace by T. Kingfisher

This is only the second T Kingfisher book that I’ve read, but as with the Swordheart, you just feel like you’re in such expert hands with her. You can trust the story, you can trust these characters, you know that we’re going to a place that we wanna go and she’s gonna make it a delightful jaunt to get there. Also, the characters seem largely normal, have normal bodies and are really smart and entertaining. It’s kind of a fantasy romance palette cleanser. Good for the soul.
