The Fell Queen by Camille Dwight

Ooh, I loved the two mains in this. Like, these characters slay, and I’m not just saying that metaphorically, I mean they literally slay. This is not a cozy romance. These characters are not what you would call pure of heart. This book is nothing short of wickedly delicious. The dialogue is absolutely top-tier. The insults are cutting, the affection is deeply soothing. As surely as I loath a wishy-washy MMC, I am now aware that the direct opposite of that is one who is murderously devoted, as we have here. And the FMC? Downright hostile. I love it. I enjoyed every minute of this book, start to finish. Amazing.

Side note: this author deserves a much better editor, like I am legit angry at the way that her beautiful words and story have been mistreated and mishandled. Somebody fix this. She deserves better. We deserve better.
