Siren & Scion by J. D. Evans

Book three and we're still going strong with these solid female leads. Yes to a bad bitch who runs an ethical textile business; yes to a woman who knows what she wants and goes for it even after she's been told she can't; yes to not settling for less than this woman deserves in the name of love or whatever else - yes to changing your mind for your own damn self. Also. Yes to all the girlies who read these books for the romance, the furtive glances, the unwieldy but forbidden attraction. The corn (sp). Life is hard, and we deserve a place where life is also hard but the people are beautiful and powerful and good. A place where the constant struggle is broken up by moments of comfort and safety and rest, as well as vigorous and salaciously detailed moments of decidedly NOT rest.
