The Hunter by Kerrigan Byrne

A few factors here just by way of justifying myself: it was free on Audible. And that’s mostly it. So, one factor. Also, the formula is comfortable and I find it ridiculous enough to be able to fully enjoy it. That being said, is it problematic in various ways: yes. Is their initial encounter riddled with dubious consent: absolutely. Is Derek Perkins’ impression of a Chinese accent incredibly uncomfortable: indeed. Is the fact that the only AAPI character just so happens to be a kung fu Master incredibly problematic: yes, of course it is. Am I a good person for disregarding all of this and still finding enjoyment in the story: no I am not.
