The Ippos King by Grace Draven

One thing I will almost never pass on is a book where the MMC is totally, respectfully, patiently and yet filthily obsessed with the FMC. I’m also never gonna pass on an FMC who could literally rip our MMC in half with her bare hands.

A synopsis without spoilers:

Our MMC has just been through an entire ordeal in the previous book and has one more task to complete, so he enlists the help of our FMC because she is a fearless warrior and his mission is less than safe. Along the way there is danger, there is plot - all the good things that you would expect, and there is also just the exquisite back-and-forth between these two heroes who you feel are probably gonna definitely bone, but circumstances and their own preconceived notions keep getting in the way.

I loved the first two books in this series so much, and I love love love Brishen and Ildiko so much, that I was a little worried I wouldn’t enjoy this one as much because it focuses on two different characters, albeit ones we already know. But I really did not need to worry because I think at this point if both couples were dangling off the side of a cliff, I do not know who I would go to rescue first.
