All Systems Red by Martha Wells

Two things: number one, I was not aware of Martha Wells or her game but consider me dialed the fuck in because this is some good shit. Number two, I think reading so many romance novels has potentially altered my brain chemistry such that when reading a non-romance sci-fi novel, I still expect smut. Like, I fully anticipated this Murderbot to have some kind of overly large robotic schlong, and also fully expected that at least two of these uptight scientists were going to be receiving the services of said schlong before the end of the story. Neither of those things turned out to be the case, so if you’re reading this book in the hopes that’s going to happen, you will be disappointed. That is the only way you could possibly be disappointed from this book, however, because it is fucking excellent.
